Casper Ruud: I just won my third consecutive title while Kyrgios stays mostly at home
Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud didn't want to say much about Nick Kyrgios after winning Kitzbuhel except that he acknowledged that he is coming off his third consecutive title while the Australian has spent most of the year at home.
On Saturday, No. 1 seed Ruud overcame Pedro Martinez Portero 6-1 4-6 6-3 in the Kitzbuhel final.
Ruud won Bastad two weeks ago, while he captured the Gstaad title last week.
Ruud has now won four titles this season, while Kyrgios has only appeared in four events this year.
"I have nothing to say. I'm here, I won three titles in three weeks while he stays at home most of the year;" Ruud said after winning Kitzbuhel, per Quentin Moynet of L'Equipe.
Ruud and Kyrgios have a bit of a historyThe ATP posted a tweet this week, under which the fans could ask Kyrgios a question.
Ruud asked: "What is his favorite clay court tournament."
Kyrgios was having none of it and he replied "your mother" but quickly deleted the tweet.
Ruud à propos de Kyrgios : "Je n'ai rien à dire. Je suis ici, j'ai gagné trois titres en trois semaines pendant que lui reste à la maison la majeure partie de l'année." https://t.co/N6LTitxvkZ

A little later, Kyrgios posted: “Hahahaha, this is timeless. @CasperRuud98, you are a good player. But we all know that you steal points in these tournaments, haha. "
Meanwhile, Ruud was shaking after clinching his third consecutive title.
For the first time since 2011, a player captured three titles in as many weeks.
The last to do it was three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray, who acccomplished the feat in 2011.
“I am shaking all over my body. It feels amazing,” Ruud said. “I was very nervous at the end, I knew what I was playing for. Three in a row is something special. What a day to play the final, rain on and off all day.
“I’m just very excited and happy that these three weeks are over, and that I won all of them.”
