2018 was a tennis season to remember for years

The tennis season that just ended was memorable, in a lot of ways. From the start in Melbourne, where Roger Federer defended his Australian Open title won last year. After five sets, the Swiss Maestro defeated Marin Cilic for the second time in a Major final, winning the 20th Slam of his eternal career.

At the same time, Caroline Wozniacki won the first Major of her career and regained her place as the world no.1.

The clay season was a long monologue by Rafael Nadal, who swept away his opponents as if they were midges, winning his eleventh Roland Garros. We will remember the tears of joy of Simona Halep who, winning in Paris, conquered the first Major of her career.

Wimbledon marked the return of Novak Djokovic. The Serb who joined forces again with Marian Vajda in the clay season rose through the rankings steadily, beat Nadal in a great semi-final at Wimbledon and then, defeated Kevin Anderson in the final.

Nole obtained the career Golden Masters at the Cincinnati Masters 1000, and also won the US Open (his 14th Major) against Juan Martin del Potro. Among the women, was the overwhelming return of mom Serena Williams. 305 days after she gave a birth, the American returned to play two Slam finals, deservedly lost against a revived Angelique Kerber at Wimbledon, and against the surprise Naomi Osaka in New York.

Noteworthy closure; Alexander Zverev champion at the ATP Finals in London and Elina Svitolina champion at the WTA Finals in Singapore. 2019 is near, and already we all are waiting for the next Australian Open and a new amazing season!
