ATP Doubles: Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares beat top seeds to win Sydney

Great Britain's Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares have won together their second Sydney International title.

No. 2 seeds Murray and Soares saw off top-seeded Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the Sydney final 6-4 6-3.

The Briton and his Brazilian partner blew an early break but broke the Colombian duo once again in the 10th game of the first set to win the opener.

Murray, 32, and 36-year-old Soares then got off a quick 3-0 second-set lead and then held on to their serve to win their first Sydney title since 2016.

Murray and Soares converted 3-of-4 of their break point chances and saved 7-of-8 of Cabal and Farah's break point opportunities in an hour and 15 minutes of action.

Elsewhere, unseeded Ben McLachlan and Jan-Lennard Struff have won the 2019 ASB Classic men's doubles title.

McLachlan, 26, and 28-year-old Struff handed a 6-3 6-4 loss to third-seeded Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus in the Auckland final.

Klaasen and Venus led 3-2 after the opening five games of the match but then got broken twice in a row as McLachlan and Struff won the following five games to take a 6-3 1-0 lead.

Klaasen and Venus responded by winning three games in a row as they led 4-2 after the opening six games of the second set.

However, McLachlan and Struff kept their focus as they broke the No. 3 seeds twice in a row to win four games in a row and claim their second team title.

McLachlan and Struff won 78 percent of their first serve points and converted 4-of-9 of their break point chances in an hour and five minutes of play.
