David Goffin and Lucas Pouille team up to play doubles in Monte Carlo
Belgium's David Goffin and French Lucas Pouille have signed up to play doubles at the Monte Carlo Masters.
Goffin, 28, and 25-year-old Pouille are set to play together just for the second time in their careers.
Goffin and Pouille debuted as a pair in Halle three years ago but failed to make a deep run after being handed a tough draw.
Goffin and Pouille got beaten in their Halle opener by the Bryan brothers 6-2 6-3.
The Monte Carlo Masters doubles event could feature more big names as Alexander Zverev and Mischa Zverev, as well as Dominic Thiem and Jurgen Melzer, have also signed up to play the event but they haven't made the main draw cut.
Both pairs will need withdrawals to make the main draw as they are currently on the alternates list.
The Zverevs, who debuted together on the clay Monte Carlo in 2017, will be hoping to get a chance to make their third consecutive appearance at the tournament.
The Germans picked up back-to-back round-of-16 exits in their last two Monte Carlo appearances.
On the other side, Thiem and Melzer will be hoping to sneak into the Monte Carlo main draw and play alongside each other for the third time in their careers.
The Austrians have yet to win a match together, having lost their openers in Metz three years ago and Hamburg a year ago respectively.
The opening clay-court Masters 1000 event of the season is due to be held in Monte Carlo from April 14-21.
