Falla reveals what he would have done differently to beat Roger Federer
In an interview to El Espectador, former Colombia's player Alejandro Falla was asked what he would do differently if he could serve to win the match again against Roger Federer in the 2010 Wimbledon first round. "I would be more a strategist", said Falla. "I would think much better what I would do and what I want to do on every point. At the time I played that game like if it was just one more, but I had to play it a little bit differently." Falla then opened up on his biggest regret: "Being an ATP tournament champion. I reached two 250 finals, one in Halle, that I lost to Federer, and the other in Bogota, where I lost to Ivo Karlovic. I would have loved to win one."
Anyway, he said that he definitely gave everything: "I always went by my way." Asked about the differences between men's and women's tennis, Falla added: "There are many. Men may be more organized and have things clearer when it comes to playing. With women, you have to speak a lot. That's natural." Asked if he plans to become a Davis Cup captain, Falla replied: "I have it on my plans, I would love to lead the Davis Cup Colombia's team, but it will come, I am calm, looking at possibilities and future plans, with a lot of patience because it's very early to know what I exactly want to do. I hope not to be wrong and go step by step."
