Rafael Nadal can deal with pain on clay, says Falla

Former Colombia's player Alejandro Falla commented on Rafael Nadal's chances on clay. Falla said: "I think Nadal will always be the favourite on clay, for what he did and the history he has; also because in this swing, he is very strong mentally. If he has to deal with pain, he deals with it on clay, because here he wins relatively easy in the early rounds it gets less complicated. He is a favorite to win the French Open; at five sets he is strong, and I do not think you should leave him away from the list of favourites, as well as in the Monte Carlo, Madrid, Rome and Barcelona tournaments where he played well in the past."

The ESPN commentator Javier Frana said Nadal usually overcomes injuries. "If he is doing well physically, he will definitely be able to play at his top level. He is used to dealing with this kind of situations, injuries and staying away from the competition. It's a very important part of the year for him; he always had great results and if he is healthy, he will play at his standard. He always has the goal to win the French Open, although he has some important tournaments prior to it."

The Swiss will not be forced by the Japanese brand to play the Olympics. Kei Nishikori confirmed that the brand has this vision. Speaking at the Monte Carlo Masters about the CEO and President of Uniqlo, Yanashi Tanai, Nishikori said: "Mr Yanai is kind of strict with himself, always rushing headlong and he tells me what others never say. You don't have to play the Olympics. It was like, "I want you to win the Slams (rather than the Olympics) or get a No.1 ranking" when I met him just before the Rio Olympics. He always talks about coming out on top, so I want to reach to the top together."
