Novak Djokovic looking forward to DC despite early ATP Finals exit

Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic is excited about representing his country at the inaugural Davis Cup Finals.

World No. 2 Novak Djokovic hasn't featured in a Davis Cup since helping Serbia beat Russia in the World Group quarterfinals in 2017. 

Djokovic, who led Serbia to its maiden Davis Cup glory in 2010, will be hoping to once again lead his country to success in the competition.

Disappointingly, the Serb failed to make it past the Round Robin stage at the Nitto ATP Finals and to clinch the year-end No. 1 spot for the sixth time in his career.

"I haven't played for my team in a while so I'm looking forward to enjoying team atmosphere. We are all great friends. It's a new format and I'm giving myself enough time to prepare (for the Davis Cup) with this early (ATP Finals) exit. I will join to my team in a few days and we are hoping for the best," Djokovic exclusively told Sport Klub.
