Felix Auger-Aliassime speaks on his humble approach to spending money
Rising Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime may have earned a lot of money this year but that hasn't changed him as he insists he uses his money only to buy what he really needs.
Auger-Aliassime, who was born in Montreal, now resides in Monte Carlo -- a place where many wealthy businessmen own flashy properties and luxurious things.
However, the surrounding hasn't negatively affected Auger-Aliassime as the 19-year-old remains true to himself with the way how he values and spends the money he earns.
"Being here (Monaco) did not make me want to buy a big car and make inappropriate expenses that I would not normally do. It does not change my habits," Auger-Aliassime told Le Journal de Montreal, as quoted on We Love Tennis France.
"The money you spend, it must be accordingly with what you want and your values. There must be a reason. Do not spend money just to say you spend it."
This year, world No. 21 Auger-Aliassime has drawn lots of positive attention to his name with his performances as many believe he has a potential to be a future Grand Slam champion and world No. 1.
"A career can end sooner or later. That's why I stay simple and quiet," Auger-Aliassime added.
