Marton Fucsovics: Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt were my idols

Hungarian tennis star Marton Fucsovics, 27, revealed that his idols growing up were record 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt. 

Fucsovics, who worked his way from the Futures and Challenger level to the ATP Tour, absolutely loved the fighting spirit former three-time Grand Slam champion Hewitt was showcasing in his every match. 

"The last top 100 Hungarian player was Attila Savolt. He was my coach for two and a half years. But my idols were Lleyton Hewitt and Roger Federer. I loved Hewitt because he was the biggest fighter on the court," Fucsovics exclusively told Tennishead

It wasn't easy for Fucsovics to make it in the game but his hard work and dedication paid off when he became the first Hungarian to claim an ATP title in 36 years after winning the 2018 Geneva title. 

Fucsovics achieved his career-high ranking of No. 31 in the world earlier this year, before his form dropped in the second part of the season -- which caused his ranking to plummet to No. 70.
