Grigor Dimitrov Says Roger Federer's Challenge Reminded Him of His Childhood
Former World No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov says that Roger Federer's recent viral challenge reminded him of his own childhood when he played tennis with his father.
A few weeks ago, Federer posted a video of himself playing tennis in the snow against a wall, hitting several tweeners and behind-the-back shots.
On the most recent episode of the TennisUnited show on the ATP & WTA Tours, Dimitrov commented, "I remember every morning with my dad in the early development of my life. We used to go in the morning in the hall. It was very cold when it was snowing outside. We used to put scotch tape on the wooden floor and we used to play with gloves and everything because it was so cold in the morning. We didn’t have a heater in the hall. This brings a very good example of tenacity and just wanting to do more. It’s a great video to see from every perspective. I think it’s also inspiring at the same time. When you want something, there are no limits to it, no way it can be stopped.”
Dimitrov has been spending his quarantine period in the United States, He says he is trying to keep fit and also has been working on ideas some philanthropic ideas which he hopes to work in the future.
He recently also joined Venus Williams on an Instagram Live session where they spoke about several things including his training methods and even enjoyed a flirtatious chat about his abs.
