Jannik Sinner is certainly the man of the moment in this last part of 2020 as regards the world of tennis, but the first criticisms also come around Jannik Sinner. The very young Italian talent recently won the ATP tournament in Sofia, a tournament that allowed him to become the youngest Italian tennis player in history to win an ATP title. "However, I do not respect his statements after his defeat to me at Roland Garros. He contradicted himself a lot. He said he had a fever, but in the third and fourth sets, he ran more than me." The win against Alexander Zverev in the fourth round is by far the biggest of Jannik Sinner's career so far. After his loss, Zverev told the press he should have withdrawn from the match. "It seems to me that he was looking for an excuse after his defeat. Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, for example, would never have said such things," Sinner added. Before the 2020 tennis season, all of the ‘Big Three’ had ended their seasons as the World No.1 for a total of 5 times. However, Novak Djokovic has taken the lead by ending this season at the No.1 spot yet again. Djokovic is now tied with Pete Sampras who also finished his season as the No.1 player for a total of 6 occasions. The ‘Big Three’ will surely have even bigger aims for their upcoming season. Although they have tougher competition now from the Next Gen players, they will still try to take their game to new heights.
