ATP Doubles: Roman Jebavy and Andres Molteni win inaugural Cordoba title
Czech Roman Jebavy and Argentina's Andres Molteni have won the inaugural edition of the Cordoba Open after beating No. 1 seeds Maximo Gonzalez and Horacio Zeballos 6-4 7-6 (4).
Third-seeded Jebavy and Molteni saved a break point in the third game, before they broke the Argentine duo in the fifth game to take a 3-2 first-set lead.
Gonzalez and Zeballos had a chance to break back Immediately but Jebavy and Molteni saved two break points in the sixth game.
Jebavy and Molteni also saved a break point in the eighth game, before they served out for the set two games later.
Gonzalez and Zeballos also failed to convert any of their three break point chances in the sixth game of the second set as the set went into a tie-break.
Jebavy and Molteni converted their first match point in the tie-break to seal the win in just over an hour and a half of action.
The key in Jebavy and Molteni's final was them saving 7-of-7 of Gonzalez and Zeballos' break point opportunities.
It was the first-ever meeting between the two pairs.
Jebavy, 29, and 30-year-old Molteni now have two team titles.
The Czech and his Argentine partner won their maiden ATP title on the clay of Kitzbuhel last year.
Jebavy and Molteni didn't drop a set the whole week in Cordoba as they won four matches in straight sets to claim the title in style.
Jebavy and Molteni won't have much time to celebrate as they are set to compete at the Argentina Open.
They have been drawn to meet Japan's Taro Daniel and German Maximilian Marterer in the Buenos Aires first round.
Cordoba runners-up Gonzalez and Zeballos will also play at the Buenos Aires event.
Gonzalez and Zeballos are set to meet Nick Monroe and Miguel-Angel Reyes-Varela in the Buenos Aires first round.
