Kei Nishikori impressed by Novak Djokovic

Kei Nishikori is not sure yet about when he will return to compete. The Japanese player is dealing with arm issues and after Tokyo and Shanghai, he may also skip Vienna and Bercy. "It would be nice to play the remaining few tournaments, but it all depends on my elbow. (As for next year) I want to make a fresh start and try hard next year", said Nishikori speaking at the Tokyo Open. Nishikori also admitted he was impressed seeing Novak Djokovic performing in Tokyo for the first time: "I watched his match against Soeda, Soeda was playing well, but Djokovic was even better."
Before losing to Djokovic, David Goffin said: “If I have free points sometimes in my service games, it will help. And then I have to play well on my baseline, try to stay with him, try to stay solid and when I have a small chance during the rally to be aggressive and to take the opportunity in the game, to be aggressive and go forward, I will have to take it.”
The Serb is committed to playing in Shanghai next week as well. He will open his run against Denis Shapovalov or Frances Tiafoe. Djokovic features there as a defending champion.
