Roger Federer: 'I feel like I am 25 in my head but my body is getting older'
Roger Federer spoke about his path on the professional tour. The Swiss player said: "It's been a great career. I do not know where to start. I could speak about my wins but all I know is that time goes on so fast. I feel like I was a junior yesterday and I am still on tour now, I am 38 but I feel like I am 25 in my head but my body is getting older. It's okay. I am also a father of four and I cannot believe I am on the tour playing at a high level and being a father, being the best person I can be every day, I feel I am lucky and I hope I have still a bit more success coming through but it's definitely been a wonderful time over the last 20 years."
Federer also spoke about the blessing of being a famous tennis player: "Playing on the biggest stadiums around the world, achieving more than my dreams has been great. Seeing the young generation come up, me playing against the players I knew from TV, being able to hold a Wimbledon trophy and then, of course, having children, getting married, travelling around the world, coming to places I maybe never thought I would come to, I did not think I was going to Colombia when I was a 15-year-old boy, here I am travelling across South America."
